Mariner Cruises is based in Westport, on Brier Island, the most westerly location in Nova Scotia. The region is among the best whale watching areas in Canada and one of the premier birding destinations in North America.

Mariner Cruises is owned and operated by Penny Graham, lifelong resident of Westport, Brier Island. The company has been offering unique whale watching and seabird adventures for over fifteen years. Captains Kenney and Chad Graham have navigated the waters of St. Mary's Bay and the Bay of Fundy for some time, Kenney since 1983 and Chad since 1996. Both men are the sons of Penny and the late Captain Roy Albert Graham MB, who slipped his moorings on January 7th, 2009. Kenney and Chad are experienced captains and fishermen as their Dad was and you can be rest assured that with their knowledge of the sea your tour with Mariner Cruises will be safe and enjoyable.

(It should also be noted that both the captains and crew are certified in MED First Aid and C.P.R.)

Our vessel is the Chad and Sisters Two, a sturdy Cape Island-style Certified Passenger Vessel, that meets or exceeds Canadian Coast Guard safety standards and guidelines. She is 50 feet long and fiberglass constructed. The vessel is equipped with washroom facilities, a heated cabin, an extended awning for the protection of passengers against the sun and rain and 'a viewing stand', that offers unrestricted viewing of nearby whales and seabirds.

All tours are narrated by local naturalists, who are well-versed in the dozens of mammals and bird species that visit this important ecological region. Their friendly commentary and information exchange with passengers is well-known, and one of the many reasons outdoor enthusiasts choose Mariner Cruises Whale & Seabird Tours.
